V8 Super Tourers

FDL manufactured custom fibreglass components for New Zealand’s V8 SuperTourer racing series. The category featured purpose-built race cars with composite bodywork styled around familiar production models, including the Ford Falcon and Holden Commodore. 

Motorsport applications demand components that are lightweight, strong and capable of being reproduced consistently — all areas where fibreglass and composite materials are particularly well suited. FDL’s involvement in the V8 SuperTourer programme added another specialist automotive project to our long history of custom composite manufacturing.
