UFL Airport Counters

In 2007, FDL was commissioned by UFL to design, manufacture and install a range of airport counters for Zia International Airport in Bangladesh. These designs later became part of UFL’s Z-Series product range.

The counters were constructed from composite-wrapped MDF panels and finished with a durable semi-gloss coating suited to the demands of a busy airport environment. Each unit was test-assembled in New Zealand before being packed and transported to Bangladesh.

FDL staff then assisted with the on-site installation, assembling and positioning the counters around the airport’s complex baggage-handling system. The project also included the assembly of raised flooring and mobile drawer units.
