FDL Disassociates itself from Quakeproof Chimneys Limited
15-12-2020
Back in 2011 we were approached by one Philip Maihi Gardiner under the Banner of Quake Proof Chimneys Ltd.
He wanted production of Fibreglass Chimneys for Canterbury Earthquake repairs.
While this seemed an extremely good idea at the time, as it has transpired, it was in fact an unbelievably bad decision to get involved with this particular gentleman.
We have done numerous jobs for Quake proof chimneys, and I regret to say, most were not paid for.
Reasons given for non-payment were defects and poor quality which he claims resulted in no payments at all, to Mr Gardiner. This has been found to be false.
Minor defects (if any) were corrected rapidly, and Mr Gardiner was paid for ALL those jobs in full, some in advance.
No payments have come to FDL
That is our background with him, but going forward; - ………BE WARNED.
FDL wishes to make it clear we are no longer associated with Gardiner or Quakeproof Chimneys in any way whatsoever.
We ceased all association with him in 2018.
Due to his extremely poor reputation and his method of taking large upfront deposits, and then delivering nothing good for his customers I suggest anyone considering dealing with him, do some research first and DO NOT hand over any money until you have a satisfactory product.
Charging big fees for quotes is also an unethical and irregular practice.
You will not regret being vigilant…………. but may regret it if you do not.
