Design and Development
Complete in-house design capabilities from concept or sketch through to prototype. Solid Works computer modelling allows full set up and rendering through to production of programs for CNC machining if required.
Pattern & Mould Making
Our pattern and mould makers have many years of experience in the industry, ensuring each component is constructed using the most efficient method.

Major projects have been completed over FDL's history, all to strict deadlines using critical paths and other time management systems - ensuring your project is ready when you want it.

Our facilities include fully equipped Engineering, Woodwork, and Pattern Shops for prototype and production of specialised parts from frames to locator dowels, pattern making, and mould production
Small Production
Where smaller or more complex parts are produced. This can be via hand lay up right through to infusion of aircraft parts.

Large Production
Where bulk production occurs of our large run items, including camper van components, fan shrouds, spray tanks, etc. Production is largely by the Spray up process and/or hand lay as required.
This has separate gun, gelcoating and trimming booths.
Flat Panel Line
FDL has one of the largest flat moulds in New Zealand, measuring 16.80m x 3.80m. It is used for the production of flat panels for the transport industry through to concrete formwork.

Polyurethane rigid foam for Insulated panels and low-pressure injection foam articles. Inserts for RTM products are manufactured using this plant.
Door Division
For production of SteridorTM hygiene doors. Includes a hydraulic press, vacuum table, and temperature control facilities.

Large curing ovens
