We were supplied with this photograph of the original concept, and after some discussion it was agreed to update and modernise the design.

The team at FDL was involved in all aspects of developing the new cabinet, taking the original concept and turning it into reality!

A plug for the door was made by our team of pattern makers, and then a fibreglass mould was produced and used to make a prototype door.

Pattern Makers then repeated the plug and mould making process to produce a cabinet to suit the door and meet the specifications required by our client. Once the final details were sorted and fine tuning done, the doors and cabinets went into production in the factory.

The units were manufactured using the Gun Spray-Up method of production, and vacuum bagging ply cores into specific areas for strength and stiffness.

After production, the components were assembled by our despatch team. This involved hinging the doors and attaching the perspex doors and fittings to the main fibreglass cabinet door. Final quality control checks were also made before delivery to the client.
