The SteridorTM is a polyester composite door designed and manufactured by Fibreglass Developments Limited, for use in critical hygiene areas. There are strong advantages over traditional products, such as:

  • seamless leaf construction
  • easily cleaned
  • good heat insulation
  • repairability
  • excellent water and chemical resistance
  • durability

FDL also produces (in conjunction with Pacific Door Systems Limited) a fire-rated door as part of our SteridorTM range. Use of special phenolic resin has allowed us to create the ONLY fully tested composite door in Australasia. Fire rated to 4 hours by BRANZ, this door is also approved by MAF as meeting all their hygiene requirements.

Standard Leaf Sizes - The following leaf sizes are available:

Leaf Width - 810, 860, 910 or 960mm

Non-standard leaf sizes may be manufactured to customer's requirements.

Maximum Leaf Size - up to 15.000 x 3.300m

Leaf Thickness / Leaf Weight - 46mm/16kg per m²

Colours - Standard Hi-Gloss White, others available on request

Glazing is retained by MAF approved sealant.

Hinges - Stainless steel surface fixed hinges not mortised into door. Stainless steel mortise FB hinges are also available as an option.

Hardware - A wide range of latch sets are available, all supplied, fitted and fully sealed, eliminating all crevices. Push plates and kick plates are also sealed to the leaf. Other items fitted on request.

Frames - Available in standard profile and designed for concealed fixing to all wall types. Standard frame materials are stainless steel grade 1.60mm 304, up to 2.00mm 316, No.4 (brushed) finish. Special frames manufactured on request.

Rough Openings - Due to the required lead time it is preferred that a given door size is ordered and rough openings are constructed to suit, rather than door sizes being site measured from finished door openings.

Supply - From leaf only, to full door set, installation and back-up maintenance programme.
